In 1968 Outbound Products in Vancouver BC began manufacturing high quality camping products for sale to the specialist camping and outdoor stores.

Today, forty years after the founding of Outbound, and despite huge growth in the numbers of outdoor brands on the market, Outbound remains as one of very few surviving authentic camping brands. We are still proud to call ourselves a camping brand, as opposed to an outdoor brand. Before any product can wear the Outbound brand, it must meet our own high standards of quality, durability and performance.

We believe that there is a growing consumer base that demand camping product, which is superior in every way from those found at the mass retailers. These consumers will pay a small premium for a product, which they can trust to perform, and we believe that they will seek out a full-service retailer to help them make their choice.

Our goal at Outbound is to continue to offer a product range, which sets the standard for the camping industry. Another forty years from now, a new generation of camping enthusiasts will still be able to rely on the Outbound brand as a guarantee of quality and dependability.
